On Ortolans

Having not eaten an animal in

half a decade:

I would throw this morality away

to consume one.

Such a beautiful expression

of brutal violence.

Drown it, roast it, eat it whole:

bones and all.

I would still hide, cloth over face,

not a believer.

In open defiance of God, weeping;

a religious experience.

I would weep with Him.
